A Poem for Jacob.

Written when he was a tiny baby almost five years ago, found in my dresser drawer.  I don't profess to be a poet but I wanted to save it for him.

Do you see the tree,
mybaby boy?
Will you rock and enjoy,
the view with me?

If you sleep, no matter.
There is joy in now,
And I'd rather,
Snuggle with you anyhow.

The softness of your feet,
Kneading my thighs,
Your breath so sweet,
And the softness of your sighs.

Here in the dark,
Just the two of us,
The time goes so fast,
Who needs sleep?
