Backposted because I couldn't get pictures to load! (But never mind that....)
Christmas evening...we finally finished that puzzle!
And there was a piece missing.
Isn't that always the way?
(We found it later though!)
The big highlight of the week was SNOW!
We got a great snowstorm the day after Christmas and then another a couple days later.
I think our total for both was somewhere around 9-10 inches.
The kids were loving it!
(Peter not so much--he was really against snow boots.)
Ken was even happy to have a driveway to shovel.
(Instead of gravel that you couldn't....)
Lots of happy fort building.
And sledding, of course!
New Years Day.
We have a tradition of visiting the Krohn Conservatory during our Christmas break.
This year, it worked out best to visit after Mass on New Year's Day.
It is always a great place to see some beautiful flowers, be warm and walk around.
We love seeing if there are oranges, bananas, and cocoa pods.
And, it is a great distraction for a bunch of tired kids who stayed up too late and partied on New Year's Eve with their cousins! :)
The trains were a hit this year for Nick.
Thomas and Percy were especially exciting.
We had a hard time pulling him away from this part!
The Nativity scene is really the reason we try to go at this time of year.
The kids love it and it is a lovely public reminder of Who we are celebrating.
Nick said, "They are using a baby doll for baby Jesus!"
That was pretty astounding to him!
The other excitement at the manger scene are the real animals.
Especially this new lamb--so sweet!
We were blessed to have so much fun visiting with friends and family this season!
I can't even begin to record all the moments here.
2012 was a great year and 2013 will be filled with lots of wonderful moments!
Blessings to all of you in the new year!
